Pretty, but the strap expands

I have the poppy version of this and its very pretty. I love it. However due to the material I've found it's stretched over time and it doesn't stay in place and is quite loose (I have a pretty thin neck anyway). I've started wearing it as a wrap around bracelet though and it's still pretty that way. Perhaps it would be better if the strap was replaced with a chain? That way the wear would last longer
